Taylor Engineering, Inc. seeks to hire a team-oriented and production-focused Water Resources Engineer for our Tampa, Florida office.
The position requires a strong background in water resources engineering, solid project management skills, and experience teaming with clients and senior level managers.
The engineer will support the organization as necessary to accomplish the mission through assisting with tasks such as the following.
Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
Water resources investigations
Engineering design of stormwater management facilities
Prepare letters, technical reports, figures, and tables
Prepare technical submittals
Interact and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including subcontractors
Assist in work activities and communicate with various municipality, utility, and government regulating agencies
Perform occasional field work
Other miscellaneous tasks assigned by project managers
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related water resources discipline
A Florida Professional Engineer license
A minimum of 8 years of water resource engineering experience
Experience with surface water, groundwater, and integrated modeling codes such as HEC-RAS, ICPR, MIKE-SHE, and SWMM
Advanced proficiency in GIS analysis including the use of ArcHydro tools
Experience/familiarity with SWFWMD’s GWIS
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Possess team leadership potential, technical capabilities, and strong aptitude
