Overview / Responsibilities Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is seeking a Field Engineer-In-Training for the Port Granby Long-Term Waste Management Facility Project. This is a full time permanent position that is situated at site full time supporting the project site in the Clarington, Ontario area.
Key Responsibilities Work closely with site project engineer and site project manager to support project engineering and quality submittals. Support tracking of requests for information (rfi), site instructions from client etc. Support the tracking and reporting of QA/QC data from the field Support document preparation for project deliverables Review specs and drawings supporting field QC efforts, rfi’s, contractor oversight, QC submittals, etc.
Skills / Qualifications University Degree in Civil Engineering Registered or eligible for registration as an Engineer-In-Training in Ontario 0-5 years of experience as a Field Engineer on civil construction projects Demonstrated understanding of civil construction with the ability to read construction drawings Demonstrated professional judgment, consistency, and attention to detail; track record of quality work products Demonstrated performance of independent analysis, problem solving and strong organizational skills Strong oral and written communication skills; experience preparing reports that demonstrate technical knowledge Strong personal safety culture The successful candidate will be required to obtain Canadian Federal Security Clearance Environmental project experience a plus Experience working under ISO quality requirements is a plus
